The Annemarie Tulleken Foundation in general finances and supports the following activities:
Medical equipment and devices for (pre) clinical research, knowledge transfer by lectures and documentation, sholarships for fellows and PhD students, teaching of neurosurgeons in bypass techniques.
Most important projects 2001-2008:
- Financing an excimer laser and laser probes with which in a period of 5 years approximately 150 patients have been treated at the UMC Utrecht 2001-2005
- Financing two more excimer laser and laser probes, and the production of implants in cooperation with the departmnet Media & Technology UMC Utrecht, all required for pre clinical researcht 2001-2005
- Sponsor general costs of the lab at the UMC Utrecht, department Neurosurgery 2001-2006
- Sponsor costs of the lab for hands-on practical workshops for 15-30 neurosurgeons per year (from all over the World).
- Sholarship for 3 PhD students department of neurosurgery (2001-2007)
- Sponsoring expenses for several neurosurgeons and PhD students to give lectures and participate in international worksohops and conferences: (among others: Olive Crona lecture Stockholm 2006 / St Louis University Revascularization Conference (5 times) / LINCC course Parijs / Charbel Flow Meeting ( 3 times) / Bypass course in Bern (3 times )en Bypass course in Madrid (3 times), ELANA User Meeting (3 times) , several invitations for “visiting professorship” Prof Tulleken).
